William Jewell Cardinals Men's Soccer
The William Jewell Cardinals men's soccer team represents William Jewell College and competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) of NCAA Division II. Playing their home games at Greene Stadium on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, the WJC men's soccer team's home games are well attended by WJC students and the Kansas City soccer community. History Prior to the 2011 season the Cardinals competed in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC). In 2007 The university began the four year transition process to NCAA Division II. The Cardinals men's soccer team won HAAC championship and 2006 and 2010 and received bids to the NAIA National Soccer Championship Tournament in 2004, 2006, and 2010. The Academic All-America program is a student-athlete recognition program. The program selects an honorary sports team composed of the most outstanding student-athletes of a specific season for positions in various sports—who in turn are given the honorific "Academic All-American". Milwaukee Wave
The Milwaukee Wave is an American professional indoor soccer team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 1984, they have been the oldest continuously operating professional soccer team in the United States and are seven-time league champions, most recent being the 2018–19 champions of the Major Arena Soccer League. The team plays their games at the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena. The team colors are black and yellow. Detroit Ignition
The Detroit Ignition were an American indoor soccer team that has played three seasons, most recently 2008–09. In April 2006, Greg Bibb, president of Hantz Group Sports and Entertainment, introduced the teams as a new Major Indoor Soccer League expansion team. They played at the Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth Township, Michigan. Their first season was 2006–07 MISL season. After the 2007–08 MISL season, the league folded. Soon afterwards, the Ignition joined the Xtreme Soccer League. The Ignition ended the 2008–09 campaign in first place which netted them the XSL title. The XSL went on "hiatus" after one season. The Orlando Sharks were a professional American indoor soccer team based in Orlando, Florida, United States. Founded in 2007, by Buena Vista Corporation the Chairman Mr. Sham Maharaj acquired the franchise early 2006. the first game was played in November 2007. MISL Commissioner Steve Ryan announced the Orlando during the championship game in St. Louis. The game, between the St. Louis Steamers and the Baltimore Blast, televised on ESPN2. Sham Maharaj, owner of the Orlando franchise, and team president Rich Bradley, the former executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the Kansas City Comets of the MISL, both were present for the announcement. The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) was the top professional indoor soccer league in the United States. The league was a member of both the United States Soccer Federation and FIFA. The MISL had replaced the NPSL which folded in 2001. According to MISL.net, the league ceased operations as of May 31, 2008. Söderhamns FF is a Swedish association Football, football club located in Söderhamn in Gävleborg County. Background Söderhamns Fotbollförening were founded on 28 January 1986. The club was formed after the Söderhamns IF football section was closed down. Liberty, Missouri
Liberty is a city in and the county seat of Clay County, Missouri, United States and is a suburb of Kansas City, located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
