Westbury was a United Kingdom constituencies, parliamentary constituency in Wiltshire from 1449 to 2010. It was represented in the House of Commons of England until 1707, and then in the House of Commons of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800, and finally in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 until 2010. Until 1885, it was a parliamentary borough, returning two Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Members of Parliament (MPs) until 1832 and only one from 1832 to 1885. The parliamentary borough was abolished in 1885, when the name was transferred to a county constituency returning one MP. Elections used the Plurality-at-large voting, bloc vote system when two MPs were returned, and the first-past-the-post system of election when one seat was contested. William Lawrence Hoskins (24 December 1828 – 8 March 1901) was a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was elected in 1870 and 1871. William Hoskins (actor)
William Hoskins (17 February 1816 – 28 September 1886) was a Shakespearean actor from England whose later career was mostly in Australia and New Zealand, reputedly "one of the best actors who has ever trod our stage". History Hoskins was a son of Abraham Hoskins, a wealthy attorney of "Newton Park" in Newton Solney, Derbyshire and was originally destined for a career in Law, to which end he studied at Cambridge, but was attracted to the theatre and "dropped out" at some stage. He first appeared on stage at the Southampton Theatre in 1835, then after years of experience in provincial theatres made Covent Garden Theatre on the 13 October 1843, in Dion Boucicault's comedy ''London Assurance'', as Charles Courtley. Another report has him joining a provincial touring company in 1834. Bill Hoskins (baseball)
William Charles Hoskins (March 14, 1914 – death date unknown), nicknamed "Big Bill", was an American Negro league outfielder in the 1930s and 1940s, spending the majority of his career with the Baltimore Elite Giants. A native of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, Hoskins broke into the Negro leagues in 1937, splitting time between the St. Louis Stars, Chicago American Giants, and Detroit Stars. He joined the Baltimore Elite Giants in 1938, and continued to play for Baltimore through 1946. He has the highest postseason batting average in baseball history, having batted .487 (19-for-39) in twelve postseason games played (1937, 1939). Will Hoskins
William Richard Hoskins (born 6 May 1986) is an English footballer who plays for club Kings Langley, where he plays as a forward. Playing career Rotherham United Hoskins was born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, where his career began at local club Notts County's School of Excellence, before he joined Rotherham United's youth system in South Yorkshire. Hoskins was heralded as a talent when, at just 17, he came into the first team fold at Rotherham and made an impact, scoring both goals in a 2–1 win at Wigan Athletic in December 2003. However, he had a stop–start early career, only making one start under managers Ronnie Moore and subsequently Mick Harford. Alan Knill took over as manager halfway through the 2005–06 season, with the Millers halfway through their first campaign back in League One, and saved the club from a second successive relegation.
