William Griggs (physician)
William Griggs was a doctor in Salem Village, Massachusetts. He is best known as the doctor who diagnosed the Salem Villagers as possessed, during the time of the Salem witch trials. Griggs was in charge of diagnosing and determining how "much" of a witch they were. William Griggs (inventor)
William Griggs (4 October 1832 – 7 December 1911) was an English inventor of a process of chromolithography known as photo-chromo-lithography. He was associated with the India Office, and publications for which he produced coloured illustrations include many works about India. Early life and career Griggs was born in 1832, son of a lodge-keeper to the Duke of Bedford at Woburn, Bedfordshire. Losing his father in childhood, he was apprenticed at the age of twelve to the carpentering trade; aged 18 he was employed in London as an artisan in the Indian Court of the Great Exhibition of 1851. He improved his scanty education at night classes, and in 1855 was selected to be technical assistant to the reporter on Indian products and director of the India Museum, then in East India House, Leadenhall Street. Bill Griggs
William Middleton Griggs, is a retired Australian physician specialising in trauma. In 2006 Griggs became a Member of the Order of Australia for "service to medicine, particularly through trauma, emergency and care management and education, and critical care and retrieval and in support of the Australian Defence Force." Griggs is one of the founding members of the Australasian Trauma Society and was president from 2001 to 2003. Griggs is the author of more than 75 publications and was described by Governor Hieu Van Le as "The face of trauma care and retrieval medicine in South Australia". Griggs is currently the non-executive director of Super SA (since 2009), Return to Work SA (since 2013) and Funds SA (since 2018). William Edward Griggs III (born August 4, 1962) is a former professional American football tight end for the New York Jets. Bill went to college at the University of Virginia and played tight end under the legendary UVA Head Coach George Welsh. Bill played for the Jets from 1984 to 1989, catching 25 passes for 262 yards. Luther William Grigs (b. September 16, 1968 from Anaheim, California U.S.) is an American "Old School/Mid School" former professional Bicycle Motocross (BMX) racer whose prime competitive years were from 1985 to 1996. His nickname was "Mr. Bill" which was a play on his name and an allusion to a late 1970s Saturday Night Live skit called " The Mr. Bill Show." Will Griggs (also Sebastian Barnes) is a fictional character from the Australian Network Ten soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Christian Clark. The character debuted on-screen in the episode airing on 12 October 2006. He was introduced into the serial as part of a group of four characters branded as "20 somethings". Clark quit the series prematurely to concentrate on a film career and Will departed on 23 January 2007. Upon his departure from the serial, his younger adoptive brother Oliver Barnes was written into storylines.
