William Creighton (rally Driver)
William Creighton (born 20 November 1997) is an Irish rally driver. He won the 2023 Junior World Rally Championship. Creighton has previously driven under a British license and has won the Junior British Rally Championship in 2021. 2018 World Rally Championship
The 2018 FIA World Rally Championship was the 46th season of the World Rally Championship, an auto racing championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) as the highest class of international rallying. Teams and crews were competing in thirteen events—starting with the Monte Carlo Rally in January and finishing with Rally Australia in November—for the World Rally Championships for Drivers, Co-drivers and Manufacturers. Crews were free to compete in cars complying with World Rally Car and Group R regulations; however, only Manufacturers competing with 2017-specification World Rally Cars were eligible to score points in the Manufacturers' championship. Liam Regan
Liam is a short form of the Irish name Uilliam or the old Germanic name William. Etymology The original name was a merging of two Old German elements: ''willa'' ("will" or "resolution"); and ''helma'' ("helmet"). The juxtaposition of these elements effectively means "helmet of will" or "guardian". When the Frankish Empire was divided, the name developed differently in each region. Rally is a wide-ranging form of motorsport with various competitive motoring elements such as speed tests (often called ''rally racing),'' navigation tests, or the ability to reach waypoints or a destination at a prescribed time or average speed. Rallies may be short in the form of trials at a single venue, or several thousand miles long in an extreme endurance rally. Depending on the format, rallies may be organised on private or public roads, open or closed to traffic, or off-road in the form of cross country or rally-raid. The 2023 FIA Junior World Rally Championship is the twenty-first season of the Junior World Rally Championship, an auto racing championship recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, running in support of the World Rally Championship. The 2023 FIA World Rally Championship-3 is the tenth season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship for rally cars that is recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the third-highest tier of international rallying. It is open to privateers and teams using cars complying with Group Rally3 regulations. The championship began in January 2023 with the Rallye Monte-Carlo and will conclude in November 2023 with Rally Japan, and runs in the support of the 2023 World Rally Championship. The junior championship began in February with the Rally Sweden and the five-round championship will conclude in September with the Acropolis Rally. The 2023 Acropolis Rally (also known as the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2023) was a motor racing event for rally cars held from 7 September to 10 September 2023. It marked the sixty-seventh running of the Acropolis Rally, and was the tenth round of the 2023 World Rally Championship, World Rally Championship-2 and World Rally Championship-3. The event was also the final round of the 2023 Junior World Rally Championship. The event was based in Lamia in Central Greece, and was contested over fifteen special stages covering a total competitive distance of .
