William Bayley
William Dowell Bayley (December 24, 1879 – November 5, 1955) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1920 to 1927. Early life and education Bayley was born in Winnipeg, the son of William Dowell Bayley and Lucy Charlotte Carney,, of English descent. Bayley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, and was a medallist in philosophy and political economy. He served as principal of King George Public School in Norwood, and in 1918 lectured on prohibition for the "dry" side in New Zealand. Political career He first ran for the Manitoba legislature in the provincial election of 1915, as a candidate of the Labour Representation Committee. William Butterworth Bayley
William Butterworth Bayley (1782–1860) was acting Governor-General of India during the period March–July 1828. Bayley was a member of the Bengal Civil Service (1799–1830) and a director and chairman of the British East India Company (1834–1858). Life Bayley, a very distinguished member of the civil service of the old East India Company, was the sixth son of Thomas Butterworth Bayley, of Hope Hall, Eccles, who served the office of high sheriff of Lancashire in 1768. He was educated at Eton, and had just gone up to Cambridge when his father obtained an appointment in the Bengal civil service for him. He reached India in 1799, just in time to be entered as a member of the new college of Fort William, which Lord Wellesley had recently established for the education of Indian civil servants. Will Bayley
William John Bayley (born 17 January 1988) is a British professional Paralympic table tennis player, ranked world number 1. He is the 2016 Summer Paralympics Games gold medallist and the 2014 World Champion. From September 2019 Bayley participated in the seventeenth series of '' Strictly Come Dancing'', paired with professional dancer Janette Manrara. Personal life Bayley was born on 17 January 1988 in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. He was born with arthrogryposis which affects all four of his limbs. At the age of seven he was diagnosed with cancer. During his recovery he began playing table tennis after his grandmother bought him his first table. Career At the age of 12 he joined the Byng Hall Table Tennis Club in Tunbridge Wells, and went on to represent Kent's able bodied men's team.
