Will Evans (footballer, Born 1997)
William Albert Evans (born 1 July 1997) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays for Newport County, as a winger. Club career Evans was born in the Welsh village of Llangedwyn and progressed through the Shrewsbury Town youth system. After playing for Cardiff Metropolitan University and Bala Town, Evans signed for Newport County in May 2022 for an undisclosed fee. He made his football league debut for Newport on 30 July 2022 in the starting line up for the 1-1 League Two draw against Sutton United. Evans was deployed by Newport County manager James Rowberry at wing-back for his first two League Two matches, thereafter being selected as a striker alongside Omar Bogle. Llangedwyn
Llangedwyn is a village in Montgomeryshire, Powys, Wales. The population of the community at the 2011 census was 402. The community includes the hamlet of Pen-y-bont Llanerch Emrys. It lies in the Tanat Valley near to the Wales/England border. It is approximately five miles from the small town of Llanfyllin and ten miles from the Shropshire market town of Oswestry. The Berwyn mountain range is nearby, as is Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall. The ruins of Owain Glyndŵr's Sycharth castle lie a few miles outside the village towards Llansilin. Omar Bogle
Omar Hanif Bogle (born 26 July 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for side Newport County. A youth product of West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City and Celtic, Bogle made his senior debut for Hinckley United in 2012. He then played three years for Solihull Moors, winning the Conference North Player of the Year and the Golden Boot in 2014–15. Bogle moved to Grimsby Town at the start of the 2015–16 season, helping them win promotion to League Two by scoring two goals in the 2016 play-off final. James Rowberry
James Rowberry (born 26 April 1985) is a Welsh football manager who was most recently in charge of EFL League Two team Newport County. He began his coaching career at an early age, and at 29 years old became one of the youngest people to ever gain the UEFA Pro Licence. Rowberry has previously been a youth coach at Newport and Cardiff City, where he was made first-team coach in 2014.
