''Who's Sorry Now?'' is the first studio album recorded by U. S. Entertainer Connie Francis. Background By 1957, none of Connie Francis' first nine solo singles had charted. Her duet single with Marvin Rainwater, "The Majesty Of Love", b/w "You, my Darlin' You" had only been a minor hit, peaking at # 93 (though it sold over one million copies). As a result of these failures, the managers at MGM Records had decided not to renew her contract after the last scheduled single release. During what was supposed to be her last recording session for MGM Records in October 1957, Francis recorded a cover version of the song " Who's Sorry Now?". For quite some time, Francis' father, George Franconero Sr., had wanted his daughter to record this song with a contemporary arrangement, but the discussion had become heated and Francis had refused to record it, considering the song old fashioned and corny. ''Who's Sorry Now'' is the third solo studio album by American country music singer Marie Osmond. It was her last solo album released under MGM Records. Produced by Sonny James. Recorded at Columbia Studios, Studio B Nashville, TN The album's lead single was the title track, a cover of Connie Francis' Top 10 Pop hit from 1958. Osmond's version reached the Top 30 on the Billboard Country Chart, the Top 40 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and also was a minor on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. It was the album's only single. The album includes additional covers of songs by Pat Boone ("Love Letters in the Sand"), Kitty Wells ("Making Believe"), and Sonny James ("It's the Little Things"), as well as two additional standards that had also been popularized by Connie Francis ("Among My Souvenirs" and "Jealous Heart"). ''Who's Sorry Now?'' is the third studio album by Babyland, released on November 10, 1995 by Flipside Records. Reception Ned Raggett of AllMusic says "Babyland kicks in its third release very much following its established path from previous releases, but not shirking from tweaks and changes that Dan and Smith find them necessary." The critic went on to say "the duo's musical relationship was perhaps even stronger than before, bolstered by the years of performing together, which resulted in some fascinating, gripping new songs." ''Black Monday'' praised the album for showcasing the band's artistic growth and said "Babyland's style successfully blends elements of punk, techno, industrial/noise, and now even a little hip hop."
