''Which Doobie U B?'' is the debut studio album by Los Angeles-based Latin hip hop group Funkdoobiest. It was released on May 4, 1993 via Epic Records. The album peaked at number 56 on the US ''Billboard 200'' chart. The album title comes from a line in an episode of the 1970s sitcom, ''What's Happening!!'', when the main character, Raj, is introduced to special guests The Doobie Brothers. Funkdoobiest was an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California, United States, composed of rappers Jason "Son Doobie" Vasquez, Tyrone "Tomahawk Funk" Pacheco and DJ Ralph "Tha Phunky Mexican" Medrano. They are members of the Soul Assassins collective. The group has released four studio albums. Their third LP, ''The Troubleshooters'', was recorded and released without any participation of Tomahawk Funk due to his departure from the group. The group's most successful hit single, "Bow Wow Wow" from their debut album ''Which Doobie U B?'', peaked at number 89 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart in the United States. Richard Wayne Penniman (December 5, 1932 – May 9, 2020), known professionally as Little Richard, was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. Dorothy LaBostrie (May 28, 1928 – November 4, 2007), later Dorothy LaBostrie Black, was an American songwriter, best known for co-writing Little Richard's 1955 hit "Tutti Frutti". Early life and songwriting career She was born in Rayland, Kentucky; some sources incorrectly claim a birth year of 1938 rather than 1928. Her parents were Amos and Orelia C. LaBostrie. She was raised in Mobile, Alabama, and in 1951 moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to seek out her father's Creole relatives. She started working as a cook and waitress, wrote poems, and began frequenting the jazz and blues clubs on Rampart Street. Louis Mario Freese (born June 2, 1970), known by his stage name B-Real, is an American rapper. Since 1991, he has been one of two lead rappers in the hip hop group Cypress Hill, along with Sen Dog.
