''Where the Light Shines Through'' is the tenth studio album by American rock band Switchfoot, released on July 8, 2016. The album was recorded in the band's recording studio Spot X in their hometown San Diego, and produced by Switchfoot and John Fields, with whom the band has worked on their breakthrough album ''The Beautiful Letdown'' (2003) and its follow-ups, ''Nothing Is Sound'' (2005) and ''Oh! Gravity.'' (2006). It is Switchfoot's first and only album to be released through Vanguard Records. Promotion On March 10, 2016, Switchfoot released a behind-the-scenes video showing the band working on their tenth studio album. Switchfoot is an American rock band from San Diego, California. ''Oh! Gravity.'' is the sixth album by the San Diego, California, San Diego based alternative rock band Switchfoot. It was released on December 26, 2006. It was Switchfoot's last album released through Columbia Records and Sony BMG (Their next album was released through lowercase people). To give fans a preview of the new material, Switchfoot released the downloadable single "Dirty Second Hands" to major online music stores on September 26. The album's first radio Single (music), single, the title song "Oh! Gravity. (song), Oh! Gravity.", was released to radio on October 31, and received moderate airplay on alternative stations across America. Future of Forestry is an American indie rock band from Southern California, United States. History Future of Forestry is led by multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Eric Owyoung. Andrew Philip "Drew" Shirley (born April 3, 1974) is an American rock guitarist, formerly of All Together Separate, and of the Grammy Award winning alternative rock band Switchfoot from 2005 until 2022. Career Shirley attended California Baptist University studying a Fine Arts degree with a Music minor. During that time, he also started and led various school bands and shows. He had only started playing guitar as a senior in high school. After graduating from college, he also began working with YFC as the Riverside area Campus Life director, working with local high schools. Shirley played in the band All Together Separate in the late 1990s along with fellow CBU classmates Dex Alexander (singer), Ben Rayls (drummer), and Charles Rumahlewang (bass). Jerome Fontamillas (born June 20, 1967) is an American musician. Fontamillas has played in several bands, notably with industrial rock band Mortal and alternative rock band Fold Zandura, with longtime musical partner Jyro Xhan. Since 2003, he has played the keyboards, the guitar, and other instruments, as well as sung backing vocals in Switchfoot, with which he has released eight studio albums. Jonathan Mark Foreman (born October 22, 1976) is an American musician, the lead singer, guitarist, main songwriter and co-founder of the alternative rock band Switchfoot. He started Switchfoot in 1996 with drummer Chad Butler and his brother Tim Foreman on bass guitar. Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley later joined the band.
