Whenever is the tenth studio album by American hip hop duo Atmosphere. It was surprise released via Rhymesayers Entertainment on December 13, 2019. On November 8, 2019, the first single, "Bde Maka Ska", was released. Its videoclip, directed by Tomas Askamit, was shot in the location of the eponymous Bde Maka Ska lake in Minneapolis. From January 13, 2020 to February 28, Atmosphere, accompanied by Nikki Jean Nicholle "Nikki" Jean Leary is an American singer. After studying theatre, Jean began her career as the lead singer of the Philadelphia-based band Nouveau Riche. She began posting acoustic music online. Rhymesayers Entertainment (sometimes abbreviated RSE) is an American independent hip-hop record label based in Minneapolis. History Rhymesayers Entertainment was co-founded in 1995 by Sean Daley (Slug), Anthony Davis (Ant), Musab Saad (Sab the Artist) and Brent Sayers (Siddiq). Former members of the Headshots crew. Beginning in 2008, Rhymesayers Entertainment sponsors the annual Soundset Music Festival, a popular attraction that takes place over Memorial Day weekend in Minneapolis. ''Mi Vida Local'' is the ninth studio album by American hip hop group Atmosphere. It was released on October 5, 2018 by Rhymesayers Entertainment, and was supported by the lead single "Virgo", as well as an accompanying 35-date album tour with supporting acts Lioness and Dem Atlas, who are featured on the track "Drown". The second single "Jerome" was debuted the same date as the album. The album reflects on middle-aged life and features live instrumentation and 808 beats. Background The album was announced along with a press release that stated it "reflects the ways in which the world — and their he band'splace in it — has changed. Bde Maka Ska (, previously named Lake Calhoun, its former official designation) is the largest lake in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, and part of the city's Chain of Lakes. Nicholle "Nikki" Jean Leary is an American singer. After studying theatre, Jean began her career as the lead singer of the Philadelphia-based band Nouveau Riche. She began posting acoustic music online.
