The men's doubles wheelchair tennis tournament at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo was held at the Ariake Tennis Park in Kōtō, Tokyo from 28 August to 3 September 2021. Defending champions Stéphane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer from France extended their title. Ariake Coliseum
is an indoor sporting arena in located in Ariake, Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan. It has a capacity of 10,000 and is one of the few professional tennis venues which has a retractable roof. Events The arena is used as the center court for the Japan Open and the Pan Pacific Open, held in Ariake Tennis Forest Park. This venue will also host Road FC 24, instead of Ryogoku Kokugikan. The venue also hosted the tennis events for the 2020 Summer Olympics. In 1995, Fuji TV's hit cooking show ''Iron Chef'' held its 1995 World Cup there, with the court converted into an outdoor version of Kitchen Stadium. Ben Weekes
Ben Weekes (born 20 September 1984) is an Australian wheelchair tennis player. He represented Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, his fifth Games. Personal Weekes was born on 20 September 1984 in Strathfield, New South Wales. He has an identical twin brother, and two other brothers. He is an incomplete paraplegic as a result of a blood clot forming in his spine when he was thirteen years old. He is a composer and pianist, having received formal training in this area. His music has been recorded and he has played at the BarMe Cabaret Bar, Angel Place and the Sydney Opera House. Other sports he participates in are swimming and basketball. Martyn Dunn
Martyn Dunn (born 25 December 1992) is an Australian wheelchair tennis player. He represented Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, his first Games. Personal Dunn was born on 25 December 1992. He attended Saint Ignatius College, Geelong. He was an apprentice carpenter before a motorcycle accident in November 2015. The accident resulted in a fractured shoulder, shoulder blade, four ribs — one which was removed in surgery - and back broken in four places, with spinal cord damage at the T12 level. Tennis Before his accident, Dunn played tennis and Australian Football. After his accident, he took up wheelchair tennis as part of his rehabilitation. Francesc Tur Blanch (born 31 January 1977) is a wheelchair tennis player from Spain. He has competed in the men's single and doubles events representing Spain at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Paralympics. His top international singles world ranking was 19th, a rank he held in August 2010. Personal Tur was born on 31 January 1977 in Barcelona, and is a paraplegic.
