Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" is a song by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson and the title song from her fifth studio album, '' Stronger'' (2011). Originally titled as "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)", the song served as the album's second single on January 17, 2012, through RCA Records. Written by Jörgen Elofsson, Ali Tamposi, and David Gamson, with additional writing and production by Greg Kurstin, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" is an uptempo song which draws from the genres of dance-pop and electropop. Its lyrical content mainly explores themes of empowerment and recovery following a heartbreak, with the chorus inspired by a Friedrich Nietzsche quotation: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." In the United States, "Stronger" became her third song to top the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, staying at the top for three non-consecutive weeks, surpassing "A Moment Like This" (2002) and "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2009) as her longest-running number- ...

Genesis ''Twilight of the Idols'' was written in just over a week, between 26 August and 3 September 1888, while Nietzsche was on holiday in Sils Maria. As Nietzsche's fame and popularity were spreading both inside and outside Germany, he felt that he needed a text that would serve as a short introduction to his work.. Nietzsche wrote about ''Twilight'' in a letter, "This style is my philosophy in a nutshell—radical to the point of criminality..."  (''Diese Schrift ist meine Philosophie in nuce—radikal bis zum Verbrechen…'')" The latter title, ''Götzen-Dämmerung'' in German, is a pun on the title of Richard Wagner's opera, ''Götterdämmerung'', or 'Twilight of the Gods'. '' Götze'' is a German word for "idol" or "false god". Walter Kaufmann has sugg ...

Stronger (Kanye West Song)
"Stronger" is a song by American rapper Kanye West, released as the second single from his third studio album, ''Graduation'' (2007). The production was handled by West, with an extended outro co-produced with Mike Dean. Written by a four-man team, the composition is electronic in nature, employing drums and synthesizers as the most prominent instruments. For the track, West repeats a vocal sample of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by French house duo Daft Punk in the background while he delivers lyrics about the resolve that comes when one is faced with adversity, paraphrasing Friedrich Nietzsche's dictum " What does not kill me makes me stronger" for the song's refrain. West has described the song as an "emancipation" as it allowed him to vent his frustration over mistakes made in the year prior. The song's production process was arduous, with West and his team reportedly mixing the track over 75 times, including after its release as a single. Although he worked with e ...
