Westwind Children's Services is a nonprofit operator of several charter schools in the state of Arizona, founded in 1996. It opened its first school, Westwind Preparatory Academy high school, in 1998. The CEO and superintendent of the schools is Debra Slagle. Westwind Preparatory Academy
Westwind Preparatory Academy was a college preparatory public charter high school in Phoenix, Arizona, operated by Westwind Children's Services, a nonprofit operator of several other Phoenix-area charter schools, Westwind Community Schools. The school opened in 1998 and closed in 2015. It received accreditation in 2001 as a college preparatory high school. The school was located on a 5-acre site near 19th Avenue and Northern in Phoenix, with student housing adjacent to the campus. The school was an International Baccalaureate World School from 2010 until its closure. It also had an international division approved with SEVIS, and 20% of its students attended on a tuition basis.
