Western Michigan Broncos Men's Soccer
The Western Michigan Broncos men's soccer team represents Western Michigan University in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. As of the next NCAA men's soccer season in 2023, the Broncos compete in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), following the dropping of men's soccer by WMU's full-time home of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The team currently plays in the soccer-specific WMU Soccer Complex on the campus. The team has qualified for NCAA Tournament a total of three times, earning berths in 2003, 2017, and 2022. The team won the MAC regular season championship in 2017. WMU Soccer Complex
The Western Michigan University Soccer Complex is a soccer-specific stadium located in Kalamazoo, Michigan on the campus of Western Michigan University. Originally known as Lee Baker Field, the complex is adjacent to WMU's Business, Technology & Research Park and the Engineering College campus, and is home to both the Western Michigan Broncos Western Michigan Broncos men's soccer, men's and Western Michigan Broncos women's soccer, women's soccer teams. The stands seat about 500, and there is standing room along the fencelines, particularly on the north and west sides. The stadium opened in 2005. 2017 Western Michigan Broncos Men's Soccer Team
The 2017 Western Michigan Broncos men's soccer team represented Western Michigan University during the 2017 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the 47th season of the university fielding a program. It was the program's fifth season with Chad Wiseman as head coach. The Broncos played their home matches at WMU Soccer Complex. The 2017 season has been, by far, the most successful season in program history. The program won their first conference regular season title in their 47-year history, and posted the most victories in program history. The Broncos achieved their first ever United Soccer Coaches national ranking since 2003 and climbed into the Top 10 for the first time in their program's history. FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt is a German association football club based in Erfurt, Thuringia. History Foundation to World War II The club has roots that go back to a cricket club founded in 1895. Birmingham Legion FC is an American professional soccer club based in Birmingham, Alabama, that competes in the USL Championship, the second division of American soccer. The team was established in August 2013 and played under the name Birmingham Hammers until 2018 and began their first professional season as Legion FC on March 10, 2019. Jacob Rufe (born January 22, 1996) is an American soccer player who most recently played as a defender for Birmingham Legion in the USL Championship. Career College & Amateur Rufe began playing college soccer at Indiana University in 2014, but didn't make an appearances for the Hoosiers during his two seasons due to injury. In 2016, Rufe transferred to Western Michigan University, where he played for three seasons, scoring 2 goals and tallying 4 assists in 55 appearances. Drew Shepherd (born December 25, 1994) is an American professional soccer player. Career College & Youth Shepherd played college soccer at Western Michigan University between 2014 and 2017, including spending a year as a redshirt in 2013. Brandon Bye (born November 29, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution. Career College and amateur Bye was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and grew up in nearby Portage, Michigan. He played his college career at Western Michigan University where he played mainly as a winger.
