The Germany women's national under-21 field hockey team represents Germany in women's international under-21 field hockey competitions; is controlled by the German Hockey Federation, the governing body for field hockey in Germany. The team competes in the EuroHockey Junior Championships, which they have won nine times. They have qualified for all the Junior World Cups, which they have won once, in 1989. German Hockey Federation
The German Hockey Federation (german: Deutscher Hockey-Bund or DHB) is the national governing body for field (and indoor) hockey in Germany. It was founded in 1909 in Bonn. It is situated in Mönchengladbach and had 66,145 members on 1 January 2006. The body is built by the club which are organised in subdivisions on the level of the States of Germany, ''Bundesländer''. The association itself is member of the DOSB (Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund), the European Hockey Federation, EHF and the International Hockey Federation, FIH. The 1997 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 3rd edition of the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup. It was held from 2 to 13 September 1997 in Seongnam, South Korea. Netherlands won the tournament for the first time after defeating Australia 2–0 in the final. Argentina won the third place match by defeating Germany 3–1 in the third and fourth place playoff. The 2023 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup was the tenth edition of the Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial women's under–21 field hockey world championship organised by the International Hockey Federation. It was held in Santiago, Chile from 29 November to 10 December 2023. The Netherlands were the defending champions, having won a record-extending fourth title at the 2022 edition. 2021 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup
The 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup is the ninth edition of the Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial women's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was scheduled to be held from 5 to 16 December 2021 in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Because of a new COVID-19 variant, the tournament was put on hold on 26 November 2021 and later postponed, with the option to be hosted by South Africa. On 10 January 2022 it was announced the tournament will take place from 2 to 13 April 2022 at the original venue. In February the tournament was moved one day forward to start on 1 and end on 12 April 2022. Argentina were the defending champions. They were defeated 4–1 in the quarter-finals by Germany.
