Kaleb Nobles
Kaleb Nobles is an American football coach. He is the head football coach for the University of West Florida, a position he has held since 2023. Playing career Nobles grew up Fitzgerald, Georgia and attended Fitzgerald High School College and Career Academy. As a senior, he completed 107-of-162 pass attempts for 1,481 yards and 15 touchdowns with four interceptions. Nobles initially played college football at Valdosta State. He played in ten games with two starts as a freshman and passed for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a sophomore Nobles completed 103-of-164 pass attempts for 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns. He competed for the starting quarterback job entering his junior season, but suffered a groin injury in training camp. Southwest Baptist Bearcats Football
The Southwest Baptist University Bearcats football program represents Southwest Baptist University in college football and competes in the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). In 2014, Southwest Baptist became a football-only member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and remains a football-only member through the 2018–19 school year, after which it will become a full GLVC member. Prior to this SBU was in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association from 1988 to 2007 and 2012 to 2013, the rest of the athletic programs are in the MIAA. The 2022 Gulf South Conference football season was the season of college football played by the eight member schools of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) as part of the 2022 NCAA Division II football season. West Florida and Delta State were GSC co-champions for the 2022 season. They were ranked No. 4 and No. 9, respectively, in the final 2022 NCAA Division II football rankings issued by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). The 2021 West Florida Argonauts football team represented the University of West Florida as a member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) during the 2021 NCAA Division II football season. They were led by sixth-year head coach Pete Shinnick. The Argonauts played their home games at Admiral Fetterman Field in Pensacola, Florida. Pete Shinnick
Pete Shinnick (born May 15, 1965) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at the Towson University in Towson, Maryland. As the head coach of West Florida, Shinnick won the school's first football national championship in 2019. The football team began play in 2016. 2017 was a big year for Shinnick, as he led the University of West Florida Agronauts to the NCAA Division II playoffs, making them the fastest team to do so (two years). He broke the record he held at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, that being three years. Shinnick also won the 2017 AFCA Region 2 Coach of the Year. NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It offers an alternative to both the larger and better-funded Division I and to the scholarship-free environment offered in Division III. The NCAA Division II Football Championship is an American college football tournament played annually to determine a champion at the NCAA Division II level. It was first held in 1973, as a single-elimination tournament with eight teams.
