Werton de Almeida Rêgo (born 16 September 2003), simply known as Werton, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Flamengo. Career Flamengo Born in Benjamin Constant, Amazonas, Werton joined Flamengo's youth setup in 2013, aged nine. On 22 December 2020, he signed his first professional contract, after agreeing to a deal until 2023. 2022 Clube De Regatas Do Flamengo Season
The 2022 season was Clube de Regatas do Flamengo's 127th year of existence, their 111th football season, and their 52nd in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, having never been relegated from the top division. In addition to the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Flamengo also competed in the Supercopa do Brasil, CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores, the Copa do Brasil, and the Campeonato Carioca, the top tier of Rio de Janeiro's state football. The season debut took place against Portuguesa-RJ, in the 1st round of the Taça Guanabara — main phase of the Campeonato Carioca — on January 26, but with younger players. The debut of the main team took place on February 2, in the 3rd round of the Taça Guanabara, against Boavista-RJ. They were runners-up of the Taça Guanabara. The Youth Academy () are the youth academy of , a Brazilian football club based in Rio de Janeiro. Is composed of several youth teams and is considered one of the most prolific football academies in Brazil as also in the world. Flamengo's Youth Squads of all categories have won trophies at national and international level. Numerous international players have graduated from the academy team.
