Werewolf (Doctor Who)
Werewolves have featured a number of times in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its other media tie-ins. The various media may not even be consistent with respect to each other. ''Doctor Who'' is a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The series depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human. Torchwood Institute
The Torchwood Institute, or simply Torchwood, is a fictional secret organisation from the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'' and its spin-off series ''Torchwood''. It was established in 1879 by Queen Victoria after the events of " Tooth and Claw". Its prime directive is to defend Earth against supernatural and extraterrestrial threats. It is later revealed in "Army of Ghosts" that the Torchwood Institute has begun to use their findings to restore the British Empire to its former glory. To those ends, the organisation started to acquire and reverse engineer alien technology. Within Torchwood, an unofficial slogan evolved: "If it's alien, it's ours". According to one base director, Yvonne Hartman, its nationalist attitude includes refusing to use metric units. ''Kursaal'' is an original novel written by Peter Anghelides and based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It features the Eighth Doctor and Sam. The word ''Kursaal'' means a public hall or room, for the use of visitors at watering places and health resorts in Germany; German ''kur'' (from Latin ''cūra'': cure) + ''saal'': hall, room. Premise Kursaal is a pleasure world, a huge theme park for the Cronus Systemor rather it will be if it isn't destroyed during construction.
