Weightlifting At The 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's 62 Kg
The men's 62 kilograms weightlifting event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece took place at the Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall on 16 August. Total score was the sum of the lifter's best result in each of the snatch and the clean and jerk, with three lifts allowed for each lift. In case of a tie, the lighter lifter won; if still tied, the lifter who took the fewest attempts to achieve the total score won. Lifters without a valid snatch score did not perform the clean and jerk. The Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall is an indoor arena in Nikaia, in Piraeus. It hosted the weightlifting events at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece. Gert Trasha (born January 31, 1988 in Elbasan) is an Albanian weightlifter. At age sixteen, Trasha became one of the youngest weightlifters to mark their official debut at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, representing his nation Albania. Armen Ghazaryan ( hy, Արմեն Ղազարյան, born June 19, 1982, in Spitak, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian weightlifter who later represented Russia. Armen had a successful junior career.
