The men's 105 kilograms weightlifting event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia took place at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre was a convention, exhibition and entertainment complex in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Designed by Philip Cox, the complex opened in 1988 as part of an urban renewal and redevelopment of the Darling Harbou ... on September 25. Total score was the sum of the lifter's best result in each of the snatch and the clean and jerk, with three lifts allowed for each lift. In case of a tie, the lighter lifter won; if still tied, the lifter who took the fewest attempts to achieve the total score won. Lifters without a valid snatch score did not perform the clean and jerk. The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre was a convention, exhibition and entertainment complex in Darling Harbour, Sydney. The complex was eventually demolished in 2013 to make way for the International Convention Centre. Thomas ("Tommy") Litster Yule (born 15 March 1976) is a male former weightlifter. Weightlifting career Born in South Africa, he represented Great Britain at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He represented England and won three silver medals in the 105 kg category, at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The three medals were won during an unusual period when three medals were awarded in one category (clean and jerk, snatch and combined) which invariably led to the same athlete winning all three of the same colour medal.
