The men's middleweight event was part of the weightlifting programme at the 1936 Summer Olympics. The weight class was the third-lightest contested, and allowed weightlifters of up to 75 kilograms (165 pounds). The competition was held on Wednesday, 5 August 1936. Carlo Galimberti (2 July 1894 – 10 August 1939) was an Italian weightlifter who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, in the 1928 Summer Olympics and in the 1932 Summer Olympics. The 1936 Summer Olympics (German: ''Olympische Sommerspiele 1936''), officially known as the Games of the XI Olympiad (German: ''Spiele der XI. Berlin won the bid to host the Games over Barcelona at the 29th IOC Session on 26 April 1931.
