''Wedding Night'' (Swedish: ''Bröllopsnatten'') is a 1947 Swedish comedy film directed by Bodil Ipsen and starring Max Hansen, Sickan Carlsson and Inga Landgré.Krawc p.480 It was shot at the Sundbyberg Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Max Linder. It is an adaptation of the 1944 British play ''Is Your Honeymoon Really Necessary?''. Synopsis A man's plans to marry his fiancée are thwarted because he has not yet been divorced from his previous wife. Bodil Ipsen
Bodil Ipsen (; 30 August 1889 – 26 November 1964) was a Danish actress and film director, and is considered one of the great stars of Danish cinematic history. Her acting career, which began in theater and silent films, was marked by leading roles in large folk comedies and melodramas. However, it was as a director that she was most influential: directing the first Danish film noir and making several dark psychological thrillers during the 1940s and 1950s. Ipsen's name along with that of Bodil Kjer is given to Denmark's most celebrated film prize, the Bodil Award. Career Bodil Louise Jensen Ipsen was born on 30 August 1889 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The STEN (or Sten gun) is a family of British submachine guns chambered in 9×19mm which were used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II and the Korean War. They had a simple design and very low production cost, making them effective insurgency weapons for resistance groups, and they continue to see usage to this day by irregular military forces. The Sten served as the basis for the Sterling submachine gun, which replaced the Sten in British service until the 1990s, when it, and all other submachine guns, were replaced by the SA80. The Sten is a select fire, blowback-operated weapon which mounts its magazine on the left. Sten is an acronym, from the names of the weapon's chief designers, Major Reginald V. Shepherd and Harold J. Turpin, and "En" for the Enfield factory. Julia Maria Vilhelmina Cæsar (28 January 1885 – 18 July 1971) was a Swedish actress. Her acting career spanned from 1905 until 1968, during which time she appeared in a large number of revues, plays, and films. Early life Cæsar was born at Östermalm in Stockholm in 1885. Her father, Gustav Cæsar, was a sergeant belonging to the Royal Svea Life Guards. At the time, Östermalm was a poor part of Stockholm, and Cæsar had a difficult childhood where she periodically had to stay in different foster homes, and sometimes she also lived with her uncle, August Cæsar, who was a prison guard at LÃ¥ngholmen prison.
