''We Bring the Noise!'' is the eighth studio album by German hard dance group Scooter, released on 11 June 2001 by Sheffield Tunes in Germany. Two singles were released from the album: "Posse (I Need You on the Floor)" on 21 May 2001, and a remix of "I Shot the DJ" entitled " Aiii Shot the DJ" on 13 August 2001. Scooter (band)
Scooter is a German happy hardcore, rave and techno music band founded in Hamburg in 1993. To date, the band has sold over 30 million records and earned over 80 Gold and Platinum awards. Scooter is considered the most commercially successful German single-record act with 23 top ten hits. Since December 2022, the band is composed of lead vocalist H.P. Baxxter. The KLF
The KLF (also known as the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, the JAMs, the Timelords and other names) are a British electronic band formed in London in 1987. Bill Drummond (alias King Boy D) and Jimmy Cauty (alias Rockman Rock) began by releasing hip hop-inspired and sample-heavy records as the JAMs. As the Timelords, they recorded the British number-one single "Doctorin' the Tardis", and documented the process of making a hit record in a book '' The Manual (How to Have a Number One the Easy Way)''. ''Push the Beat for This Jam (The Second Chapter)'', alternatively titled ''Push the Beat for This Jam (The Singles '94–'02)'' in the UK and Australia and ''Pushing the Beat (The Best of Scooter)'' in the US, is the second singles compilation from the German techno band Scooter, released on 7 January 2002. It collects all the singles from 1998 to 2002 including the hit single "The Logical Song" plus three new tracks "Habanera", "No Pain, No Gain", "Loud and Clear", some live tracks, B-sides and remixes. The title is a lyric from the single "Call Me Mañana". The song "Habanera" was also scheduled to be released as a single but there is only a promo release as it was dropped in favour of a new song, "Nessaja". City (band)
City is a German rock band, formed in East Berlin in 1972, best known for the song " Am Fenster" ("At/By The Window") from its 1978 debut album. The band was founded as the City Band Berlin by Fritz Puppel (guitar), Klaus Selmke ( drums), Ingo Doering (bass guitar), Klaus Witte ( keyboards), Frank Pfeiffer (vocals) and Andreas Pieper ( flute). The lineup changed frequently in the band's early years, but stabilized by 1976, with Puppel and Selmke joined by Bulgarian violinist and bassist Georgi Gogow and vocalist-guitarist Toni Krahl. Cover Version
In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original. A Split-Second
A Split-Second is a Belgian new beat and electronic body music (EBM) band established in 1985. The band is seen as one of the pioneers of EBM and their music influenced the creation of the new beat genre. History The project was born in 1985 as a solo project of Marc Heyndrickx (under the name Marc Ickx), who self-released the demo-tape "Stained Impressions" with Peter Bonne (later re-named Chrismar Chayell) producing. Bonne at that time was releasing music as Twilight Ritual together with vocalist Geert Coppens. To record the demo, Heyndrickx spent the last of his money on an amp and cassette deck and spent the holidays in the offices of Independent Films. Having heard the initial material, Bonne invited Heyndrickx to record more songs in his 4-track studio. Antler records signed the band immediately upon hearing the first demo. Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), best known as Aphex Twin, is an Irish-born British musician, composer and DJ. He is known for his idiosyncratic work in electronic music, electronic styles such as techno, ambient music, ambient, and jungle music, jungle. ''Analogue Bubblebath'', also released as ''Aphex Twin ep'', is the first record by musician and producer Richard D. James. The EP was released under his alias The Aphex Twin through Mighty Force Records in September 1991. It was the inaugural release for the label, which at the time was a record shop in Exeter. The record was hugely influential on the development of electronic music, particularly techno and ambient techno. Its release has been described as a key event in the history of dance music. It is the first release in what became the ''Analogue Bubblebath'' series. James previously had little inclination to release his music, though it had long circulated on tapes amongst his friends, and he would include his tracks in his set when DJing. Human Resource (band)
Human Resource is a Dutch electronic music group established in 1990. History The first members of the group were mixer Robert Mahu and keyboardist Johan Van Beek. They were later joined by keyboardists Jasper Drexhage and Guido Pernet (also MC) and finally by rapper and former professional basketball player Larenzo Nash. They came from the Ridderkerk area. In 1991 they released their biggest hit, "Dominator", famous for being remixed by Joey Beltram and including one of the first uses of Hoover sound. A remixed version appeared on The Pitchfork 500. It was allegedly sampled on Lady Gaga's single Bad Romance in 2009 without royalties or permission and lawfully sampled on Rihanna's "Birthday Cake". In 1992, Van Beek left without being permanently replaced. Soon after rapper Marvin D became a band member but left in 1995. "Dominator" is a 1991 song by the electronic music group Human Resource. It was the group's debut single and later appeared on their full-length album ''Dominating the World''. The single reached #36 on the UK singles chart, #6 on Dutch Top 40 and #6 on Belgian Ultratop 50 Singles. Remixes There were over 50 remixes with American DJ Joey Beltram's being the most popular in clubs and raves in its year of release. The White Room (KLF Album)
''The White Room'' is the fourth and final studio album by British electronic music group The KLF, released on 3 March 1991. The album features versions of the band's hit singles, including "What Time Is Love?", "3 a.m. Eternal", and " Last Train to Trancentral". Originally scheduled for 1989 as the soundtrack to a film of the same name, the album's direction was changed after both the film and the original soundtrack LP were cancelled. Most tracks on the original album version are present in the final 1991 release, though in significantly remixed form. ''The White Room'' was supposed to be followed by a darker, harder complementary album '' The Black Room'', but that plan was abandoned when the KLF retired in 1992. "What Time Is Love?" is a song released, in different mixes, as a series of singles by the band the KLF. It featured prominently and repeatedly in their output from 1988 to 1992 and, under the moniker of 2K, in 1997. In its original form, the track was an instrumental electronic dance anthem; subsequent reworkings, with vocals and additional instrumentation, yielded the international hit singles "What Time Is Love? (Live at Trancentral)" (1990), and "America: What Time Is Love?"
