We're All Christs
''We're All Christs'' (''Wszyscy jesteśmy Chrystusami'') is a 2006 Polish comedy-drama film directed by Marek Koterski. It is the seventh in a nine-part series of films about the character Adaś Miauczyński, created by Koterski. Each story showcases a different aspect or era of his life, often with little continuity between them. ''We're All Christs'' focuses on the protagonist's alcohol addiction and his relationship with his son, Sylwuś, with emphasis on the way the father's alcoholism has caused lifelong trauma for the pair. Miauczyński is portrayed by two actors in the film, Marek Kondrat and Andrzej Chyra, each of whom embodies him at a different stage of his life. Marek Koterski
Marek Koterski (born 3 June 1942) is a Polish film and theatre director, screenwriter, actor, and playwright. In 1972, he graduated in directing from the Łódź Film School. Initially, he made documentaries, but in 1984, he gained recognition in Poland thanks to the semi-autobiographical tragicomedy ''Dom wariatów''. This was the first of nine films Koterski went on to write and direct about his alter ego, the character Adaś Miauczyński. Several of these, including the 1986 sequel to ''Dom wariatów'', titled ''Życie wewnętrzne''; the sixth and seventh films in the loose series, titled ''Day of the Wacko'' (2002) and ''We're All Christs'' (2006), respectively; and the final one, ''7 uczuć'' (2018), won accolades. ''Życie wewnętrzne'' won a Silver Lion at the 1987 Gdynia Film Festival, and in 2002, Koterski won a Golden Lion for ''Day of the Wacko''. Jan Frycz
Jan Frycz (born 15 May 1954) is a Polish screen and stage actor. He was nominated for six Polish Academy Awards, winning twice for his supporting roles in the films ''Pornografia'' (2003) and ''The Welts'' (2004). Biography Frycz's father was a mining engineer and disliked his interest in acting; he argued that a boy should have a more stable job.
