IBM Watson is a question answering, question-answering computer system capable of answering questions posed in natural language, developed in IBM's DeepQA project by a research team led by principal investigator David Ferrucci. Watson was named after IBM's founder and first CEO, industrialist Thomas J. Watson. The computer system was initially developed to answer questions on the quiz show ''Jeopardy!'' and, in 2011, the Watson computer system competed on ''Jeopardy!'' against champions Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings, winning the first place prize of $1 million. Mary Jane "MJ" Watson is a Character (arts), fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Watson Lake, Yukon
Watson Lake is a town in Yukon, Canada, located at mile 635 on the Alaska Highway close to the British Columbia border. It has a population of 790 in 2016. The town is named for Frank Watson, an American-born trapper and prospector, who settled in the area at the end of the 19th century. Watson Lake is near the Liard River, at the junction of the Robert Campbell Highway and the Alaska Highway. The Stewart–Cassiar Highway's northern end is west of Watson Lake. The town is also served by the Watson Lake Airport; the airport was formerly served by Canadian Pacific Air Lines and other local and regional airlines, but now by Air North and corporate and charter services. Watson Island is a neighborhood and man-made island in Biscayne Bay, in Miami, Florida. It is located Immediately east of the Central Business District and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods of downtown Miami and is connected to the mainland and South Beach, Miami Beach by the MacArthur Causeway. History The island was deeded to the city in 1919 with the restriction that it only be used for public or municipal purposes. The city gave it to the state and the state deeded it back to the city with similar restrictions - both in the 1940s. In 1979 the city attempted to circumvent this prohibition by claiming that the underwater land surrounding the island is a preserve and Watson Island need not be protected as per the deed, as a park, or for public ownership and use.

Watson is a town of 777 residents in the rural municipality of Lakeside, in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Watson is located on the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 6, the Canam Highway. Watson is approximately the same distance from Saskatoon which is to the west, and Regina to the south, which gives rise to its town motto, ''Industrial Crossroads of Saskatchewan''. History Settlers began arriving in the early 1900s, many of them German American Catholics. Watson, Louisiana
Watson is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, United States. The community is in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Watson Post Office was established on February 20, 1894, by George A. Watson. The first Live Oak School was built in 1895 on land donated by Rev. Joel Ott. Several buildings were used for classes there, until the present site was purchased and a two-story school built. Published histories of Live Oak Methodist Church state that the first church was built not more than a quarter-mile from the present site prior to the Civil War. It was destroyed by Union soldiers.
