"Wanted" is a song by Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage from her debut studio album ''Once Upon a Time'' (2013). The song was produced by American producer Warren "Oak" Felder and samples the memorable line "out in the streets/they call it murder" from Damian Marley's " Welcome to Jamrock". The Moe Musa-directed music video for "Wanted" was released on 27 May 2014. Its release prompted a huge public backlash across various social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Music video Background The accompanying music video for "Wanted" was shot and directed by Moe Musa. It was released on May 27, 2014, and ran for 3 minutes and 31 seconds. Tiwa Savage (born 5 February 1980) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and performing artist. Born in Isale Eko, she relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. Five years later, she began her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige. After participating in the UK edition of ''The X Factor'' and graduating from Berklee College of Music, Savage signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Inspired by the growth of the Nigerian music industry, Savage moved back to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012. Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi was a Nigerian broadcaster at The Beat 99.9 FM (she resigned in December 2021), entrepreneur and co-host of "Off-Air with Gbemi & Toolz" podcast. The Headies 2014
The Headies 2014 was the ninth edition of The Headies. It took place on 14 December 2014, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Themed "Feel the Passion", the show was hosted by Toke Makinwa and Basketmouth. It was initially scheduled to hold on 25 October 2014. Bovi was initially announced as one of the hosts, but ended up not hosting due to him being booked for another show. On 30 September 2014, nominations were announced during a press briefing at the HipTV office in Allen, Lagos. Kcee, Olamide and Phyno led the nominations with five each. Tiwa Savage, Oritse Femi and The Mavins followed closely with four apiece. Yemi Alade was nominated for Song of the Year, Best Pop Single and Next Rated.
