	Walter Lee (English Politician) Sir Walter Lee or Walter Attelee (c. 1350–1395), of Albury, Hertfordshire, was an English politician. Life Lee was born in either 1348 or 1353. He was the son and heir of Sir John Lee of Albury, who died in 1370, and was the stewart of the household of Edward III of England. Lee's mother was named Joan. Lee's brother was probably Thomas Lee II, MP. By July 1373, he had married a woman named Margaret. Career Lee was knighted by July 1370. He was a Member of Parliament for Hertfordshire in January 1377, 1379, January 1380, November 1380, 1381, 1385, 1386, February 1388, September 1388, January 1390 and November 1390. 	Walter Lee (Australian Politician) Sir Walter Henry Lee KCMG (27 April 18741 June 1963) was an Australian politician and member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly. He was Premier of Tasmania on three occasions: from 15 April 1916 to 12 August 1922; from 14 August 1923 to 25 October 1923; and from 15 March 1934 to 22 June 1934. Lee was born in Longford in Tasmania's north-east, where he was educated to primary level at Longford State School. He joined his father's business, and later went into business with his brother as a wheelwright with Lee Bros. Lee was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly at the 1909 election, representing the rural seat of Wilmot for the Anti-Socialist Party, which became the Tasmanian Liberal League and later the Nationalist Party. 	Walter Lee (New Zealand Politician) Dr Walter Lee (1811 – 29 January 1887) was a 19th-century New Zealand politician. Biography Lee arrived in New Zealand in 1842. He represented the Northern Division (a territory north of Auckland but south of Whangarei) in the 1st Parliament and the 2nd Parliament; serving from 1853 to 1860, when he retired. A Catholic, Lee opposed the reading of prayers at the start of Parliament, saying that any prayer would have an inevitable bias towards one faith or another. Lee also served on the Auckland Provincial Council, representing the Northern Division electorate in 1857 and 1858. He was chairman of the initial Auckland City Council. 	Walter Lee (trade Unionist) Walter N. Lee (1904 – 16 February 1967) was a British trade union leader. Lee began working in a cotton spinning room at the age of twelve. He joined the Oldham Operative Cotton Spinners' Association, eventually becoming its assistant secretary, then, in 1953, its general secretary. The Oldham Spinners were affiliated to the Amalgamated Association of Operative Cotton Spinners, and in 1960 Lee was additionally elected as its president. This was followed, in 1965, by his election as general secretary of the Spinners' Union. Lee was also active in the Labour Party, and from 1959 served as an elected auditor of the party's accounts. 	Dick Lee (Australian Footballer) Walter Henry "Dick" Lee (19 March 1889 – 11 September 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the (then) Victorian Football League (VFL). 	Walter Lea Walter Maxfield Lea (February 10, 1874 – January 10, 1936) was a Prince Edward Island politician. A farmer and livestock breeder by profession, Lea was born in Tryon, the son of William C. Lea and Annie Murphy. He was elected to the provincial House of Assembly in 1915 as a Liberal and became commissioner of agriculture in 1919. In 1930 Lea became premier when his predecessor was appointed to the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island but the Great Depression took a toll on the government's popularity and he lost the election the next year to the rival Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island. Lea rebuilt the party while in opposition and in 1935 the Liberals won all 30 seats in the legislature, the first time such a thing had ever happened in the British Empire.
