Kurt Martti Wallenius
Kurt Martti Wallenius (25 July 1893 in Kuopio – 3 May 1984 in Helsinki) was a Finnish Major General. Jäger Movement Wallenius was a member of the Finnish Jäger troops trained in Germany prior to Finnish independence. In 1915, Wallenius travelled to Germany where he enrolled in the Royal Prussian 27th Jäger Battalion. Bror-Erik "Bubi" Wallenius (born 1943) is a retired Finland, Finnish sports commentator who still occasionally works for Finland's National Broadcasting Company YLE. Wallenius had a great passion for sports since his childhood. When he was a little boy he organized sports competitions in Kruununhaka, Helsinki, the neighbourhood where he lived, and collected entrance fees from the adults who came to attend. Wallenius learned to read when he was four years old, and practised speaking. He recited poetry in front of the class. In the 1960s he studied languages and social sciences in the University of Helsinki. At the end of the 1970s Wallenius got job with the Swedish language, Swedish sports editorial staff of YLE. Before that he had worked ten years as a salesman for IBM. Wallenius' first play-by-play sportscast was the women's 60 meters hurdles, which he watched from videotape, for radio. Asser Wallenius
Asser Rafael Wallenius (23 July 1902 – 25 February 1971) was a Finnish speed skater and racing driver who competed in the 1924 Winter Olympics. In 1924 he finished fifth in the 500 metres event, tenth in the 5000 metres competition, and also tenth in the 10000 metres event. He also participated in the 1500 metres event but did not finish, therefore he was also unplaced in the all-round competition. Ville Wallenius
Twilightning was a power metal band from Imatra, Finland, which formed in 1998. They disbanded in June 2009. Biography Twilightning formed in 1998, consisting of guitarists Tommi Sartanen and Ville Wallenius, bassist Jussi Kainulainen, and drummer Juha Leskinen, with Tommi also on vocals. After releasing their first demo in 1999, they were joined by keyboardist Mikko Naukkarinen. Following the release of their second demo in 2001, Heikki Pöyhiä joined as lead singer. With this reinforced lineup, they release a third demo, which demonstrated their strong influence from 1980s heavy metal. Thanks to the interest this stirred, the group signed to Spinefarm Records, releasing their debut '' Delirium Veil'' in 2003, which drew comparisons to Edguy, Stratovarius, and Sonata Arctica.
