Nawell Azzouz, better known as Wallen (born January 23, 1978) is a French Rhythm and blues, R&B singer. Her stage name comes from the rearrangement of the letters of her first name. She was born in Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis, Saint-Denis, France, to Morocco, Moroccan parents from Berkane. As a child, she learned to play the violin and developed a passion for singing. She grew up listening to funk, hip hop, and R&B. Influenced by Aaliyah, Wallen made her recording debut with producer Sullee B Wax, and rapper Sté Strass. In 1998, she was featured on the French RnB compilation "24 Carats", with "Je ne pleurs pas" (I'm not crying). Her first hit came with "Celle Qui Dit Non" with the rapper Shurik'n. In 2004, she released the album ''Avoir La Vie Devant Soi'' which includes the singles "Bouge Cette Vie", "L'Olivier", and "Donna"'. Angelica Wallén (born 11 April 1986) is a former Swedish handball player for the Swedish women's national handball team. At the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship she reached the final and won a silver medal with the Swedish team. She competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Zonja Wallen-Lawrence
Zonja Elizabeth Wallen-Lawrence (September 17, 1892 – January 28, 1986) was a Swedish-born American biochemist, college professor, and nutritionist. She worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in the 1920s, and was a chemistry professor at Vassar College and Mount Holyoke College. Early life and education Wallén was born in Stockholm, the daughter of Carl Wilhelm Wallén and Eva Charlotta Andersdotter Wallén. She moved to the United States in 1903, with her family. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 1915, and earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry there in 1936. For the 1927–1928 academic year, she held a fellowship from the Evaporated Milk Association to do research at the University of Chicago. Career Wallen taught chemistry at the University of Chicago from 1916 to 1918. From 1917 to 1920 and from 1922 to 1923, she taught chemistry at Vassar College. William Wallén (born 16 August 1991) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward. Playing career During the 2005–06 season at age 14 Wallén played for Stocksunds IF's under 18 team, he scored 17 goals and 22 points in 12 games of the J18 Elit and ten goals, 13 points in 11 games of the J18 Allsvenskan. For the 2006–07 season Wallén joined Djurgårdens IF, continuing his success in the under 18 leagues with 21 goals and 36 points in 18 games of the J18 Elit and seven goals, 14 points in 13 games of the J18 Allsvenskan. Mona Wallén-Hjerpe
Mona Wallén-Hjerpe sometimes called Sjösalakvinnan (''The Sjösala Woman'') was born 24 January 1932 in Stockholm and died 19 June 2008 (aged 76). Wallén-Hjerpe was a Swedish author and criminal who burnt Evert Taube's summer house '' Sjösala'' on 19 December 1969. After that she was placed in a psychiatric hospital. She confessed to the burning of Sjösala on 10 March 1970 and on 1 August she was sentenced for the treatment of mental disorders for having schizophrenia. Wallén-Hjerpe wrote about her "relationship" to the Taube family in her 1987 book ''Sjösala brinner'' (Sjösala Is Burning), saying "Evert Taube lovar att gifta sig med mig, men jag blir inspärrad på mentalsjukhus" ("''Evert Taube promises to marry me, but I get locked-in at a psychiatric hospital''"). She is portrayed as Lena Nylén in Fredrik Strage's 2005 book ''Fans'', and later there was a play based on the book, performed at Södra Teatern in Stockholm. Martti Wallén (born 20 November 1948) is a Finnish operatic bass singer. Born in Helsinki, he sang both internationally and in his native country where he was a visiting soloist at the Finnish National Opera for many years. He created the role of the Judge in the world premiere of Aulis Sallinen's '' The Horseman'' in 1975.
