Waldo's Last Stand

Spanky and the others try to persuade Froggy to buy a drink, even going as far as singing an impromptu song about dryness and thirst, but to no avail. Edward L. Cahn (February 12, 1899 – August 25, 1963) was an American film director. Early life and education Cahn was born in Brooklyn, New York. He went to work at Universal Pictures in 1917 while still a student at UCLA. Career He is best known for directing ''Our Gang'' comedies from 1939 to 1943, and a long line of other short subjects and B-movies afterward. He is also known for directing the 1958 film ''It! The Terror from Beyond Space'', the film that inspired the 1979 film ''Alien''. ''Our Gang Follies of 1938'' (later reissued as simply ''Follies of 1938'') is a 1937 American musical short subject, the 161st short subject entry in Hal Roach's ''Our Gang'' (''Little Rascals'') series. Directed by Gordon Douglas as a sequel to 1935's ''Our Gang Follies of 1936'', the two-reel short was released to theaters on December 18, 1937 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Deriving its title from the concurrent MGM feature film ''The Broadway Melody of 1938'', ''Our Gang Follies of 1938'' is a spoof of the ''Broadway Melody'' films and other movie musicals of the time. He tries to get his sister Mary Ann to do this but she insists on going camping. Spud decides to merely go camping anyway and take both Wheezer and Mary Ann along.
