Mohammed Wajih Sobhi Fanous (known as Wajih Fanous, ; 1948 – 13 July 2022), was a Lebanese literary critic, academic, and researcher. He wrote about twenty books, ranging from literary criticism, cultural heritage, Islamic civilization, and contemporary themes. Some of his works have been translated into French. He held a number of cultural, intellectual, and academic positions, and was honored on several occasions. Wajih Al Madani ( ar, وجيه المدني; 1921–1991) was a Palestinian major general who was the first commander-in-chief of the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA). He also served as the commander of the Kuwaiti security forces and director of the Kuwait Armed Forces. Biography Al Madani was born in Acre in 1921. He was a corporal in an Arab force during World War II under British mandate. After the war he attended the Sarafand British Military College in Palestine graduating as a second lieutenant in 1946. Wajih Nahlé (in Arabic ), (February 1, 1932 – February 21, 2017), born in Beirut, Lebanon, was a Lebanese postwar and contemporary master painter, calligrapher and sculpture who has created new and original forms of expression, a pioneer in his generation. He studied painting in the workshop of the Lebanese painter Moustafa Farroukh. Nahlé's work shows an interest for the decorative aspect of calligraphy. Wajih Mousa Owais ( ar, وجيه موسى عويس) (born November 5, 1947) is a Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He was appointed as Minister in February 2011. Dr. Owais was the Professor of Genetics, a researcher, Chairman of Board of Directors of King Abdullah University Hospital, and the President of Jordan University of Science and Technology from September, 2003 to February, 2011. In 1972, he got his B.Sc. in the field of Biology from the American University of Beirut. In 1975, he got his M.Sc. in the field of Biochemistry from the University of Jordan.
