WVAD-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 25, is a low-powered Daystar- affiliated television station licensed to Chesapeake, Virginia Chesapeake is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 249,422, it is the second-most populous independent city in Virginia, tenth-largest in the Mid-Atlantic, and the 90th ..., United States. The station is owned by the Word of God Fellowship. History Originally, the station was owned by KM Broadcasting of Annandale, which is unrelated to KM Communications Inc. The station was on channel 60 as W60BR, but moved to channel 25 as W25CS on January 28, 2003 and became a Class A licensed station. The station was sold to Daystar on December 28, 2007 and changed its calls to WVAD-LP on October 13, 2010. MTV2 (formerly M2) is an American pay television Cable television, channel owned by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. The channel launched initially as an all-music video service, once the original MTV had started to shift its programming. As with its parent network, MTV2's focus on music programming would gradually be downplayed during the 2000s. By 2011, MTV2 would primarily target young adult men with original and acquired lifestyle and reality programming, reruns of male-targeting shows from MTV, acquired sitcoms and movies, and a daily block of Hip hop music, hip hop and Rock music, rock genre videos in the early mornings. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequency, radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). The class A television service is a system for regulating some low-power television (LPTV) stations in the United States. Class A stations are denoted by the broadcast callsign suffix "-CA" (analog) or "-CD" (digital), although very many analog -CA stations have a digital companion channel that was assigned the -LD suffix used by regular (non-class-A) digital LPTV stations.
