WFGR (98.7 FM) is an American radio station serving Grand Rapids, Michigan. It transmits from their facility in Alpine Township. WFGR is owned by Townsquare Media. Kemal Amin "Casey" Kasem (April 27, 1932 – June 15, 2014) was an American disc jockey, actor, and radio personality, who created and hosted several radio countdown programs, notably '' American Top 40''. WGVU was a radio station that served the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, area. The main broadcast frequency is 1480 kHz, which is licensed to Kentwood, Michigan, a Grand Rapids suburb. It was simulcast on WGVS 850 kHz, which is licensed to Muskegon. The station's format was oldies music.
