It was designated a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation in 1983. History Archbold was founded in 1855 when the railroad was extended to that point. Adrian is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Lenawee County. The population was 20,645 at the 2020 census. Adrian lies in Michigan's 7th congressional district. Taylor University is a private, interdenominational, evangelical Christian university in Upland, Indiana. Founded in 1846, it is one of the oldest evangelical Christian universities in the country. The university is named after Bishop William Taylor (1821–1902). The university sits on an approximately campus on the south side of Upland.
