Văcăroiu Cabinet
The Văcăroiu Cabinet was the 111th cabinet of Romania between 1992 and 1996, led by Nicolae Văcăroiu. After the 1992 general elections, when FDSN obtained 27.75% of the votes in the Chamber of Deputies, and 28.31% in the Senate, the reelected President, Ion Iliescu, nominated in November 1992 Nicolae Văcăroiu as Prime Minister of a minority cabinet formed by FDSN. Nicolae Văcăroiu
Nicolae Văcăroiu (; born on 5 December 1943 in Cetatea Albă, now Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in Ukraine) is a Romanian politician, member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), who served as Prime Minister between 1992 and 1996. Before the 1989 Revolution he worked at the Committee for State Planning, together with Theodor Stolojan. He was the President of the Senate of Romania for almost eight years, during two legislatures (2000–2004 and 2004–2008). Teodor Meleșcanu
Teodor Viorel Meleșcanu (; born 10 March 1941) is a Romanian politician, diplomat, and jurist. He served as Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Romania (SIE) between 2012 and 2014. He was a three times senator on behalf of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Minister of Defense between 2007 and 2008, and Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1992 and 1996, in November 2014 and since January 2017 to July 2019. On 27 February 2012, upon his appointment as head of the SIE, he suspended himself from PNL and was later expelled from the party. On 10 September 2019, he was elected President of the Senate. Marin Sorescu (; 29 February 1936 – 8 December 1996) was a Romanian poet, playwright, and novelist. His works were translated into more than 20 countries, and the total number of his books that were published abroad rises up to 60 books. He has also been known for his painting, and he opened many art exhibits in Romania and abroad. Ion Predescu (2 October 1927 – 12 October 2020) was a Romanian politician and judge who served as a Social Democratic Senator, Minister of Justice, and member of the Constitutional Court of Romania. Predescu was born in Optași-Măgura, Olt County. He studied at the Radu Greceanu High School in Slatina and received his law degree from the University of Bucharest. He started practicing law in 1952, and taught at the Law Schools of the University of Craiova and Spiru Haret University in Bucharest.
