Völkl
Völkl Ski International, GmbH, () is a sports equipment manufacturing company based in Bavaria, Germany. Initially it manufactured skis, but has extended its line to snowboards, outerwear, and tennis gear. Völkl's United States subsidiary is located in Lebanon, New Hampshire along with its wholly owned binding manufacturer, Marker. In 2015 Völkl bought the ski boot manufacturer Dalbello. Völkl skis Since 1914, Völkl has manufactured skis in Straubing, Germany, a Bavarian town about one and a half hour's drive northeast of Munich. In the 1960s, Sears started distributing Völkl in North America under the Othmar Schneider and Sears brands. Though they recently built a state-of-the-art production facility in Straubing, the original factory is still in use as the Völkl World Logistics Center. Boris Becker
Boris Franz Becker (, ; born 22 November 1967) is a German former world No. 1 tennis player. Becker was successful from the start of his career, winning the Wimbledon Championships at the age of 17. He ultimately won six Grand Slam singles titles: three Wimbledon Championships, two Australian Opens and one US Open. Becker also won three year-end championships, 13 Masters titles and an Olympic gold medal. In 1989, he was voted the Player of the Year by both the ATP and the ITF. Laurenne Ross
Laurenne Ross (born August 17, 1988) is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. She specialized in the speed events of downhill and super G. Born in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada, Ross was on skis at age two at the Snow Valley ski hill, as her father was a former alpine racer. The family moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon, when she was age 7 and Ross skied and raced at Mount Bachelor near Bend. She was selected to the U.S. Ski Team in 2006, and made her World Cup debut in December 2009. Ross was moved up to the World Cup team for the 2011 season and represented the U.S. at the 2011 World Championships, where she finished tenth in the women's downhill. Andrea Fischbacher (born 14 October 1985) is a retired alpine ski racer from Austria. Career Born in Schwarzach im Pongau, Salzburg, Fischbacher now lives in Eben im Pongau. She made her World Cup debut in March 2004 in Sestriere, Italy, where she would claim her first World Cup victory four years later, a dead-heat tie with Fabienne Suter. Fischbacher competed for Austria at the Winter Olympics in 2006 and again in 2010, where she won the gold medal in the Super-G, ahead of Tina Maze and Lindsey Vonn. Petr Korda (born 23 January 1968) is a Czech former professional tennis player. He won the 1998 Australian Open and was runner-up at the 1992 French Open, reaching a career-high ranking of No. 2 in February 1998.
