Vítězslav Lavička
Vítězslav Lavička (; born 30 April 1963) is a Czech football manager and former player. Playing career As a player, Lavička played for several Czech clubs, including Škoda Plzeň, RH Cheb and Sparta Prague. He played one season towards the end of his career in the Czech First League after the Czech Republic's national league commenced play in 1993. Managerial career In 2006 and 2007, he was voted Coach of the Year at the Czech Golden Ball awards and Coach of the Year in 2006. In June 2008, Lavička signed a two-year contract as the manager of Sparta Prague. However, after just four months in the position, he resigned following a humiliating 4–1 home defeat against Sparta's rivals Slavia. Plzeň (; German and English: Pilsen, in German ) is a city in the Czech Republic. Czech First League
The Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, is a Czech professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Czech football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Fortuna liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. The history of the Czech football league began with its reorganization for the 1993–94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and therefore the league became the successor of the Czechoslovak League. Gold Coast United
Gold Coast United Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Gold Coast, Queensland. The earliest incarnation of the club formed in 1966 and its home ground was at Nikiforides Family Park in Broadbeach. The first era of Gold Coast United senior teams competed in the Brisbane leagues until the club disbanded after the 1979 season, allowing Broadbeach United Soccer Club to form its first senior team in 1980 at the same grounds. Twenty-eight years later the club was revived and was officially announced as a professional expansion team for the A-League's 2009–2010 season on 28 August 2008. Melbourne Victory
Melbourne Victory Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Melbourne, Victoria. Robert Bernard Fowler (born 9 April 1975) is an English football manager and former player, who most recently managed East Bengal in the Indian Super League. As a player, he was a striker, and is the eighth-highest goalscorer in the history of the Premier League. He is best known for his time at Liverpool, initially from 1993 to 2001. North Queensland Fury
Northern Fury Football Club was an Australian professional soccer club based in Townsville, Queensland. The club was founded in 2008 and competed in the A-League under the name North Queensland Fury. On 1 March 2011, the club was removed from the league due to financial instability. On 3 October 2012, the club officially re-formed after it was granted a licence to participate in the National Premier League Queensland. 2009–10 A-League
The 2009–10 A-League was the 33rd season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the fifth season of the A-League competition since its establishment in 2004. The season marked the addition of two new teams from Queensland. Gold Coast United FC and the North Queensland Fury FC made their A-League debuts at the start of the season. Because of this, Queensland Roar were renamed to Brisbane Roar, as they were no longer the only A-League club from Queensland. With the inception of the two new clubs, many club transfers took place both within Australia and New Zealand, and around the world. Michal Zach
Michal Zach (born 21 March 1969) is a Czech football manager. He managed FC Slovan Liberec and Bohemians 1905 in the 2007–08 Czech First League. Early career Zach managed Most in the 2003–04 Czech 2. Liga. He lost his position in May 2004 following a series of five consecutive defeats. Zach managed Ústí nad Labem in the 2004–05 Czech 2. Liga but was replaced before the end of the season. After serving as assistant manager to Vítězslav Lavička at Liberec, Zach became manager as Lavička's replacement in May 2007. In October 2007, after winning just one of nine league games in charge, Zach left Liberec. In November 2007 he joined Bohemians 1905 as assistant to Zbyněk Busta and went on to lead the team as caretaker manager following Busta's resignation with six matches of the 2007–08 Czech First League remaining.
