Véronique Genest (born Véronique Combouilhaud, 26 June 1956) is a French actress. She is best known for her starring role as Commissaire Julie Lescaut in the French police drama series ''Julie Lescaut'' which ran from 1992–2013. Meaux () is a commune on the river Marne in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in the metropolitan area of Paris, France. It is east-northeast of the centre of Paris. Meaux is, with Provins, Torcy and Fontainebleau, one of the four subprefectures (''sous-préfectures'') of the department of Seine-et-Marne, Melun being the prefecture.
