Suryakumar Pandey
Suryakumar Pandey (born 10 October 1954) is an Indian poet, humorist, satirist and writer. During his literary career, Pandey has contributed to various genres of Hindi literature including ''Hasya Kavita'' (humorous comic poetry), '' Vyangya'' (satire) and ''Bal Kavita'' (children's rhymes) etc. He is most recognized as a Hasya kavi and for his distinctive style and language of hasya kavita Popularly known as Pandeyji, he is also well known for his Hāsya kavita (humorous Hindi poetry) recitations at Hindi kavi sammelans both in India and globally. Early and personal life Born in Ballia (Eastern Uttar Pradesh), Suryakumar Pandey went to primary school in Ballia, before moving to Lucknow in 1967. Sri Lal Sukla
Shrilal Shukla (31 December 1925 – 28 October 2011) was a Hindi writer, notable for his satire. He worked as a PCS officer for the state government of Uttar Pradesh, later inducted into the IAS. He has written over 25 books, including Raag Darbari, ''Makaan'', ''Sooni Ghaati Ka Sooraj'', ''Pehla Padaav'' and ''Bisrampur Ka Sant''. Shukla has highlighted the falling moral values in the Indian society in the post independence era through his novels. His writings expose the negative aspects of life in rural and urban India in a satirical manner. His best known work ''Raag Darbari'' has been translated into English and 15 Indian languages. A television serial based on this continued for several months on the national network in the 1980s. Harishankar Parsai
Harishankar Parsai (22 August 1922 – 10 August 1995) was an Indian writer who wrote in Hindi. He was a noted satirist and humorist of modern Hindi literature and is known for his simple and direct style. He wrote vyangya (satire), which described human values and nature. They reflected his critical thinking and humorous way of describing simple things with huge meanings. Biography He was born in Jamani village near Itarsi in Hoshangabad district, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his M.A. in Hindi from Nagpur University. After pursuing writing along with his service for some time, he quit his job and took writing as a full-time career. Gyan Chaturvedi
Gyan Chaturvedi is an Indian writer and satirist in Hindi language, known for his satirical novels, ''Baramasi'' and ''Narak Yathra''. He was honoured by the Government of India in 2015 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award. Biography Chaturvedi was born on 2 August 1952 at Mauranipur, in Jhansi district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He graduated in medicine from SS Medical College Rewa, did advanced training in cardiology and joined the hospital at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) where he served for over thirty years till his retirement.
