Vyacheslav Anatolyevich Petrov (Russian: Вячеслав Анатольевич Петров; born on 17 August 1969) is a Russian statesman and politician who is a member of the State Duma of the VIII convocation, a member of the United Russia faction, and a member of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government. He had also served as the Chairman as member of the Legislative Assembly of Kemerovo Oblast from 2018 to 2021. Biography Vyacheslav Petrov was born on 17 August 1969, in Novokuznetsk. In 1986, he graduated from secondary school No. 60 and entered the medical faculty of the Kemerovo State Medical Academy. In 1992, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and was assigned to residency at the Department of Oncology, where he conducted scientific activities during his studies, but after graduation he went into business. The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council of Russia, Federation Council.
