''Policekaran Magal'' () is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by C. V. Sridhar. Based on B. S. Ramiah's play of the same name, it stars Balaji, Muthuraman, Vijayakumari, Santha Kumari and Pushpalatha. The film was released on 7 September 1962 and was a success. It was later remade in Telugu as ''Constable Koothuru'' (1963) and in Malayalam as '' Vyaamoham'' (1978). Plot Kumarasami, an honest police constable, has a son Chinnaiah and a daughter Janaki. Lakshmi (actress)
Mahalakshmi (born 13 December 1952), known professionally as Lakshmi, is an Indian actress known for her works primarily in the southern film industry (distributing her acting career in almost each Dravidian language equally), along with some Hindi films. She made her film debut through a Tamil film '' Sri Valli'' in 1961. Her debut as an actress happened with the Tamil film '' Jeevanaamsam'' in 1968. In the same year, she also debuted in Kannada and Telugu films with ''Goa Dalli CID 999'' and '' Bandhavyalu'', respectively. Mohan Sharma
Mohan Sharma is an Indian film and television actor, film producer, director and screenwriter, who works in South Indian films. He has produced more than 15 films in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. He became noted through his role in '' Chattakari'' (1974). Background Mohan Sharma was born in Thathamangalam in Palakkad district, Kerala. His education was completed at Thathamangalam and Chitoor of Palaghat. Afterwards, he joined the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and graduated in the acting course. He was the first South Indian to get that qualification in acting from the institute. Rajeevnath is a National Award-winning Malayalam film director. Career Rajeevnath ventured into filmmaking with a short film shot in 16mm camera after finishing his university course. He debuted as a director of feature films with ''Thanal'' (1976). The film won him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Director. The film also won M. G. Soman his only Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. His 1988 film ''Kadaltheerathu'', based on the short story by O. V. K. Bhaskaran Nair (1 March 1929 – 29 March 1990), known by his stage name Adoor Bhasi, was an Indian actor and film director from Kerala. Adoor Bhasi was almost always cast as the man who stands next to the hero. His hilarious actions and roles became the cynosure of comic scenes in the Malayalam films of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, especially with Ever Green Hero of Malayalam Cinema, Shri Prem Nazir. Janardhanan Nair (born 5 May 1946) is an Indian actor, producer and a former Indian Airforce personnel who predominantly acts in Malayalam films. He acted in his first feature film '' Adyathe Kadha'', directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan in 1971, he acted in more than 700 films. He started his career when Malayalam films were made in black and white. He is known for his style of handling humour and his iconic voice.
