Vuza Nyoni
Vusumuzi "Vuza" Nyoni (born 21 April 1984, in Bulawayo) is a Zimbabwean professional football player, most recently playing for SC Dikkelvenne. His position on the field is left-winger. He is nicknamed ''Prince''. Career Nyoni was discovered at his team Highlanders FC by scouts of Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. Cercle Brugge, co-operating with Blackburn Rovers, offered Nyoni a trial because they needed a replacement for Brian Pinas who was sold to NAC Breda. A few weeks later, Vusumuzi Nyoni signed a contract for six months. This contract has already been prolonged with two years. Nyoni currently lives together with his teammate Honour Gombami in a flat in Bruges. It was Nyoni who recommended Gombami at Cercle, and they both recommended Obadiah Tarumbwa. Bulawayo
Bulawayo (, ; Ndebele: ''Bulawayo'') is the second largest city in Zimbabwe, and the largest city in the country's Matabeleland region. The city's population is disputed; the 2022 census listed it at 665,940, while the Bulawayo City Council claimed it to be about 1.2 million. Bulawayo covers an area of about in the western part of the country, along the Matsheumhlope River. Along with the capital Harare, Bulawayo is one of two cities in Zimbabwe that is also a province. Honour Gombami
Honour Gombami (born 9 January 1983) is a Zimbabwean former professional football player. He is a member of the Zimbabwe national football team. Cercle's new head coach De Boeck was quite immediately impressed by Gombami's skills. He even stated that in the future he saw Gombami playing for Anderlecht, De Boeck's former team and Belgium's most notable top team. Rumours were going that Anderlecht had approached Gombami for a transfer in May 2008. However, Anderlecht manager Herman Van Holsbeeck denied this. Gombami lives together with his teammate Vuza Nyoni in an apartment in Bruges. They both recommended Obadiah Tarumbwa to the Cercle management. Football at the 2003 Afro-Asian Games was held in Hyderabad, India from 22 to 31 October 2003. The football preliminaries commenced two days before the Opening Ceremony of the Games. The football tournament was a men's-only event. Eight teams were set to participate, but only 7 played. Uzbekistan were the gold medalists. The host country took silver, while Zimbabwe won bronze. The Afro-Asian Games were the series of inter-continental multi-sport competitions, held between athletes from Asia and Africa. These Games are one-of-a-kind, since no other sporting competition brings athletes from these two continents together for one event, excluding the Olympic Games.
