Vrouwen Basketball League
The Women's Basketball League (WBL) is the highest level of women's basketball in the Netherlands. The first season was played in 1949. Blue Stars is the record titleholder of the league with 20 championships. As of 2021, the league consists of nine teams. History From its establishment, the league was known as "Eredivisie". In 2019, the league name was changed from Vrouwen Basketball League (VBL) to Women's Basketball League (WBL). The 2019–20 season was cancelled prematurely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first time the competition was not played out. Basketball Netherlands ( nl, Basketbal Nederland) is the governing body of basketball in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1947, and are headquartered in Nieuwegein. Basketball Nederland operates the Netherlands men's national team and Netherlands women's national team. Haren, Groningen
Haren (; gos, Hoaren) is a town and a former municipality in the northeastern Netherlands located in the direct urban area of the City of Groningen. Haren is a typical commuting municipality with many wealthy inhabitants. It lies on the northern part of a ridge of sand called the Hondsrug. It contains one of two dolmens in the province of Groningen (in the village of Noordlaren) and the largest botanical garden of the Netherlands called Hortus Haren. Katwijk
Katwijk (), also spelled Katwyk, is a coastal municipality and town in the province of South Holland, which is situated in the mid-western part of the Netherlands. Den Helder
Den Helder () is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Den Helder occupies the northernmost point of the North Holland peninsula. Bemmel
Bemmel is a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. It is located in the Betuwe region, and falls under the municipality of Lingewaard. The town is situated between the major cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, and is bordered by the Waal river in the south. Bemmel has a population of 12,161 (as of 1 January 2020).
