Voz Veis
Voz Veis was a Venezuelan sextet that released their last studio album "Acústico... Una Noche Común y Sin Corriente" in 2010. They recorded 7 studio albums; the first, ''Lo Mejor Aún Está Por Venir'' in 1997. The group had 6 lead singers: Carlos Labrador, Luis Fernando "Luigi" Castillo, Roberto Zambrano, Gustavo González, Santiago Castillo, and Luis Enrique Leal. After obtaining a contract in 2007 with local Venezuelan newspaper Diario La Verdad to distribute 10,000 copies (the minimum amount required by the Latin Grammy organization) of their album "¿Cómo Se Llega a Belén?", the group succeeded in competing in the 2008 Latin Grammy Awards and consequently won the Best Short Form Music Video for "Ven A Mi Casa Esta Navidad", produced by the Salto Angel Media company and Best Children's Album, becoming the first Venezuelans to earn awards in these categories. 11th Annual Latin Grammy Awards
The 11th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were held on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the third time the annual event had taken place at this location. The eligibility period for recordings to be nominated was July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Nominations were announced on September 8, 2010. On September 14, 2010 it was announced that the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year honoree would be Plácido Domingo. The big winners of the night were Camila, Juan Luis Guerra and Gustavo Cerati with three awards. Juan Luis Guerra's ''A Son de Guerra'' was awarded the Album of the Year, the second time he has received this award. "Mientes" by pop band Camila won the Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Andrés Cepeda Cediel (born July 7, 1973) is a popular Colombian singer-songwriter. He was born in Bogotá, the youngest of five children. He displayed an inclination towards music from an early age, studying piano since the age of 5. He composed his first piece at the age of 12.
