Vox Saeculorum
''Vox Sæculorum'' is an international society of contemporary composers writing in the Baroque style established in 2006. Vox Sæculorum was the primary focus of a feature-length article on period baroque composition written by Grant Colburn and published in the Summer issue of Early Music America Magazine. Grant Colburn
Grant Colburn (born in Wisconsin in 1966) is an American composer, pianist and harpsichordist. He studied harpsichord with Igor Kipnis and composition with Irwin Sonenfield. He is the author of six published collections of neo-baroque and neo-renaissance harpsichord music including most recently two volumes of Twelve Carols of Christmas arranged for Harpsichord or Organ and Six Voluntaries for the Organ or Harpsichord. Also two concertos for harpsichord and strings, another concerto for recorder and strings, music for recorder/flute with continuo and works for unaccompanied cello or viola da gamba, as well as songs for voice and continuo of which there are recordings by Fernando de Luca, Andreas Zappe, Ernst Stolz, Daniel Shoskes, Simone Stella, Robert Ronnes, Carson Cooman and Michele Barchi. Matthias Maute
Matthias Maute (born 1963) is a virtuoso recorder player and composer. Maute was born in Ebingen, Germany and studied in Freiburg and Utrecht with Baldrick Deerenberg and Marion Verbruggen. In 1990 he won first prize in the soloist category of the competition Musica Antiqua Bruges, Belgium. He subsequently won the Dutch Impressariat Chamber Music Competition. He has played with several chamber music groups, including REBEL Baroque Orchestra, and has made a number of recordings. Fernando De Luca (born 1961 in Rome) is an Italian harpsichordist, teacher and composer. He studied harpsichord with Paola Bernardi. He is known to some people for his efforts to perform and record, for the first time, the Handel's Complete Harpsichord Compositions and Johann Christoph Graupner. He is also the first to have transcribed and recorded a number of orchestral pieces to the harpsichord, including the ''Sixty Complete Ouvertures'' from the Handel's operas and oratorios. Baroque music ( or ) refers to the period or dominant style of Western classical music composed from about 1600 to 1750. The Baroque style followed the Renaissance period, and was followed in turn by the Classical period after a short transition, the galant style.
