Voodoo Lady
The ''Voodoo Lady'' is an extended play (EP) by American rock band Ween, released in the United Kingdom in January 1995 on Flying Nun Records. It appears on their fourth studio album, ''Chocolate and Cheese'' (1994). Song information The title track is in typical Bayou-style blues format. Chants of "Boogie boogie boogie" are pervasive throughout the song. Most of the lyrics describe a woman who supposedly is always "doing that stuff that you do", and "messing me up with your voodoo". The singer seems to be someone somehow romantically involved with the Voodoo Lady. The song slowly winds down at the end, with a final blast of sound finishing the song. The EP's title track also appears on the band's 1994 album ''Chocolate and Cheese''. It is also one of two Ween songs — the other being "Push th' Little Daisies" — to chart on the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart, peaking at number 32. The cover art was designed by Gene Ween Aaron Freeman (born March 17, 1970), ...

Imgur
Imgur ( , stylized as imgur) is an American online image sharing and image hosting service with a focus on social gossip that was founded by Alan Schaaf in 2009. The service has hosted viral images and meme, particularly those posted on Reddit. History The company was started in 2009 in Athens, Ohio as Alan Schaaf's side project while he attended Ohio University for computer science. Imgur was created as a response to the usability problems encountered in similar services. "It took off almost instantly, jumping from a thousand hits per day to a million total page views in the first five months." In October 2012, Imgur expanded its functionality to allow users to directly share images to Imgur instead of requiring images to gain enough attraction through other social media sites like Reddit to show up on the popular image gallery. In the beginning, Imgur relied on donations to help with the web hosting costs. Display ads were introduced in May 2009; sponsored images and self- ...

ARIA Charts
The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. ARIA became the official Australian music chart in June 1988, succeeding the Kent Music Report, which had been Australia's national music sales charts since 1974. History The '' Go-Set'' charts were Australia's first national singles and albums charts, published from 5 October 1966 until 24 August 1974. Succeeding ''Go-Set'', the Kent Music Report began issuing the national top 100 charts in Australia from May 1974. The compiler, David Kent, also published Australia's national charts from 1940 to 1974 in a retrospective fashion using state-based data. In mid-1983, the Australian Recording Industry Association commenced licensing the Kent Music Report chart. The first printed national top 50 chart available in record stores, branded the ''Countdown'' chart, was ...

Aaron Freeman (born March 17, 1970), better known by his stage name Gene Ween, is an American singer, guitarist and a founding member of the experimental alternative rock group Ween. Freeman, along with childhood friend Dean Ween (Mickey Melchiondo), started the group in the mid-1980s. Freeman announced his departure from Ween in 2012, shortly after releasing ''Marvelous Clouds'', his first solo album. After leaving Ween, he stopped using the name Gene Ween and performed under his birth name Aaron Freeman. In 2014 he formed a new five-piece band called Freeman. In 2015, Freeman returned to using the Gene Ween name for his "Gene Ween Does Billy Joel" concerts, saying it was a positive thing: In November 2015, Ween announced a February 2016 reunion for three shows in Colorado, with later dates subsequently announced. Career Freeman and Melchiondo met in an eighth grade typing class in 1984, in New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they both grew up. Both of them talk ...

Alternative Songs
Alternative Airplay (formerly known as Modern Rock Tracks (1988–2009) and Alternative Songs (2009–2020)) is a music chart in the United States that has appeared in ''Billboard'' magazine since September 10, 1988. It ranks the 40 most-played songs on alternative and modern rock radio stations. Introduced as Modern Rock Tracks, the chart served as a companion to the Mainstream Rock chart (then called Album Rock Tracks), and its creation was prompted by the explosion of alternative music on American radio in the late 1980s. During the first several years of the chart, it regularly featured music that did not receive commercial radio airplay anywhere but on a few modern rock and college rock radio stations. This included many electronic and post-punk artists. Gradually, as alternative rock became more mainstream (spearheaded by the grunge explosion in the early 1990s), alternative and mainstream rock radio stations began playing many of the same songs. By the late 2000s, the g ...

Push Th' Little Daisies
"Push th' Little Daisies" is a song by American band Ween, appearing on their third album, ''Pure Guava'', in 1992. It was released as a single in 1993. A music video was released, featuring Dean and Gene Ween eating various foods while fooling around (with cuts to a beautiful girl) and interspersed with them performing the song. The video (which replaced the word "shit" with a sample of Prince squealing—taken from his song " Alphabet St.") and the song gained exposure after being critiqued on the MTV show ''Beavis and Butt-head''. The song was a hit in Australia, spending 13 weeks on the Australian Singles Chart and peaking at number 18 in August 1993. At the end of the year, it was ranked 40th on Triple J's annual Hottest 100 music poll. The song was also successful on US alternative rock radio, charting at number 21 on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart. Critical reception The A.V. Club said, "there's something undeniable about the madness of "Push th' Little Daisie ...

Chocolate And Cheese
''Chocolate and Cheese'' is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Ween, originally released by Elektra Records in 1994. It was the first Ween album to be recorded in a professional studio, in contrast to the crude four-track home recordings of ''The Pod'' and '' Pure Guava''. However, most of the instruments were still played by Dean and Gene Ween, including their drum machine. Reception and legacy In July 2014, ''Guitar World'' placed ''Chocolate and Cheese'' at #45 in their "Superunknown: 50 Iconic Albums That Defined 1994" list. The entire album was played live as part of the group's setlist at the Desert Daze festival in California on October 12, 2019. Background The album is dedicated to comedian John Candy, who died while Ween was putting the album together. "A Tear for Eddie" was dedicated to the funk/psychedelic guitar pioneer Eddie Hazel, who died December 23, 1992. In a 2011 interview, Gene Ween credited a Spanish lesson on ''Sesame Street'' with inspir ...
