Heinz Vollmar (26 April 1936 – 12 October 1987) was a Saarland and German football player. Vollmar belongs to those Germany international players (war-year examples include Ernest Wilimowski, Franz Binder, Max Merkel; latest examples include Ulf Kirsten, Andreas Thom, Matthias Sammer etc.) that have represented other nations in their international career as well. He was a tricky winger who mostly played in the outside left position. Vollmar was a citizen of Saarland, what came under French protectorate after World War II, and wore the Saarland colours four times, scoring four in these matches. Georg Heinrich Ritter (Chevalier) von Vollmar auf Veldheim (March 7, 1850 – June 30, 1922) was a democratic socialist politician from Bavaria. Biography Vollmar was born in Munich, and educated in a school attached to a Benedictine monastery at Augsburg In 1865 entered the Bavarian army as a lieutenant in a cavalry regiment. He served in the campaign of 1866, and then entered the Papal Guard as a volunteer. In 1869 he returned to Germany, and during the Franco-Prussian War served in the army railway department. He was severely wounded at Blois and pensioned. Permanently crippled by his wounds, Vollmar devoted himself to political and social studies. In 1872, he was converted to the principles of social democracy, and involved himself with great energy into political agitation. In 1877, he became editor of the party organ at Dresden, and under the Socialist Law was repeatedly condemned to various terms of imprisonment, and was also expelled from that city. Klausbernd Vollmar (born 22 November 1946) is a German scientific psychologist (''Diplompsychologe'') specializing in the language of symbols in dreams, art and advertisements. Vollmar was born in Remscheid, Germany. He studied German literature, linguistics, philosophy and geography at the Ruhr-University in Germany and McGill University in Montreal. After his degrees he was awarded a research scholarship by the Canada Council at McGill University. He worked as editor in chief of different papers and magazines, as director (theatre and films) and for the Goethe-Institut (the international German culture institution) in Finland. King Goldemar (also spelled Goldmar, Vollmar, and Volmar) is a dwarf or kobold from Germanic mythology and folklore. By the Middle Ages, Goldemar had become the king of the dwarfs in German belief.Wägner and MacDowall 40. In the fairy tale "The Friendship of the Dwarfs", the author Villamaria depicts Goldemar as a "mighty dwarf king" with a queen and a court of dwarf nobles at his service.
