Voll, Akershus
Voll is a district in eastern Bærum, Norway. The district Voll was built around the farm of the same name. The farm was mentioned as ''Vælli'' in 1398, Woldt in 1578, Wold in 1723 and later Vold. It belonged to the St. Hallvard's Cathedral (now in ruins) during the Middle Ages, and later the state church. In the middle of the seventeenth century the farm came on the hands of bailiff Paul Iversen Vold (1595–1682), who owned several farms in Bærum. In 1721 the farm was separated into two; Nedre and Øvre (Lower and Upper) Wold. The latter farm developed into a district of its own, Øvrevoll. In 1835 the former croft Rugland was separated from Nedre Vold. Today, Øvrevoll and Voll are sometimes referred to as one district. Voll borders Øvrevoll in the north and west, Jar in the south and west and the river Lysakerelva in the east. Voll is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It existed from 1874 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed the Måndalen and Innfjorden valleys west of the Romsdalsfjorden in the west-central part of the present-day Rauma Municipality. The administrative centre of the village was the village of Måndalen which is also where the main Voll Church is located. Voll Church ( no, Voll kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Voll in the Måndalen valley. It is the church for the Voll parish which is part of the Indre Romsdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1896 using plans drawn up by the architect Gabriel Smith from Ålesund. The church seats about 290 people, making it the largest church in Rauma. History The earliest existing historical records of the church date back to 1432, but it was not new that year. Christoph Voll (27 April 1897 in Munich – 16 June 1939 in Karlsruhe) was a German sculptor and graphic artist associated with Expressionism. He was a member of the politically active avant-garde group of Dresden artists known as the Dresdner Sezession. Beginnings Christoph Voll was born in Munich in April 1897, as the son of sculptor Roman Voll and painter Augusta Felicitas. His father died shortly after his son's birth, and his mother decided to leave him and his sisters for extended periods in orphanages run by nuns. A childhood characterised by the stern and cold authority of the sisters, and a distant mother figure, impacted Voll profoundly. Toomas Voll (born 17 June 1958 in Kilingi-Nõmme) is an Estonian composer, conductor and choir director. From 1976 to 1979, he studied music pedagogics at Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Tallinn State Conservatory. In 1996, he founded Toomas Voll Singing Studio. The Value of Lost Load (VoLL) is the estimated amount that customers receiving electricity with firm contracts would be willing to pay to avoid a disruption in their electricity service. The value of these losses can be expressed as a customer damage function (CDF). A CDF is defined as: Loss ($/kW) = ƒ (duration, season, time of day, notice) Based on the calculated outage cost, a CDF can be obtained for various customer groups. Typically, there are three distinct groups of customers: residential, small and medium commercial/industry and large commercial/industrial.
