Vokzalna Metro Station
Vokzalna ( uk, Вокза́льна) is a station on Dnipro Metro's Tsentralno–Zavodska Line. The station is the eastern terminus of the line and was opened on 29 December 1995. However, once the nearby station will be completed, it will cease being the eastern terminus. The station has three exits, all of which exit onto the Vokzalna Square. The station is named Vokzalna for the located nearby main railway station in Dnipro Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. The Dnipro Metro ( uk, Дніпровський метрополітен) is a single-line rapid transit system that serves the city of Dnipro, the fourth largest city in Ukraine by population. The metro was the fourth system constructed in Ukraine, after the Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kryvyy Rih metro systems, respectively, when it opened on December 29, 1995. The metro was the fourteenth built in the former Soviet Union region, and the first to open after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Dnipro Metro consists of one line and just 6 stations, making it one of the smallest metro systems in the world. The line starts at station, near the city's central railway station in the east and ends at station in the western part of the city. The system is open from 05:30 to 23:00. Dnipro-Holovnyi is the main railway station of Dnipro. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. History The station was opened in 1884, called ''Ekaterinoslav''. July 20, 1926, the Presidium of the USSR Central Executive Committee of the city and station Ekaterinoslav was renamed to Dnipropetrovsk.
