Vladislav Krikliy
Vladyslav Arturovych Krykliy ( uk, Владислав Артурович Криклій; born 23 November 1986) is a Ukrainian economist, civil servant and politician. From 29 August 2019 to 18 May 2021 he served as Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Biography Krykliy studied at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2009). Candidate of Economic Sciences (2015). From 2002 to 2008, he served as the head of the stock market securities department at Interbank. From 2008 to 2010, Krykliy worked at the Astrum Investment Management company. From 2011 to 2013, he was a director of Cinema Theater LLC. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine ( uk, Міністерство інфраструктури України) functions as the main executive body that controls Ukraine's transportation infrastructure including roads, trains, and communications. The department is based on the former Transport and Communications Ministry and also oversees the implementation of government tourism policies. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations. All deputies from Servant of the People were political newcomers. 61 percent of the new MPs had never before been engaged in politics.
